Mounds. Sometimes ya just don't feel like a nut. :)

Back in high school (late 60's) I worked on the Naval Supply Center in Oakland. My favorite breaktime snack was a Nestle's Crunch bar washed down with an ice-cold Fresca. ;)

I had a reply all typed up and got distracted and lost it.

As a kid, Cherry Mash, the factory is close to the Stetson factory, so I once even picked up a big box of them when I got mom to take me to the Stetson factory when we were back there visiting family. Would have been late 60s early 70s I'd guess.

I'm sure I had others, mostly anything chocolate I imagine.

Hershey bars, male or female; Grandpa gave them to sis and me each time he visited. M & M's in our Christmas stockings... 1950s.

I still have an Abazaba occasionally, they are exactly the same and cost about 15 times what they did back then.

Hershey bar with almonds. Three Musketeers.

And on Halloween, enough candy corn to choke a horse.

But my mom's choklit cupcakes beat everything!

I think it would be easier to name the candies I DON'T like, but some that come to mind are Mary Jane, Bit o' Honey, Black Jack, root beer barrels, horehound,Tootsie Rolls, taffy...

Two great things about licorice and horehound are that A- they are both delicious, and 2- alot of people don't care for them, so I don't have to share much. I mean, you know, when I was a kid.

When I was growing up in the 50's on the farm my brother made the greatest homemade fudge using Hersheys Cocoa. My mother and sis would make a candy called Sea Foam, it was a lot of

work to get it to come out right but when it did it was GREAT! I can still taste them just thinking about them now !

60's, Early 70's- Remember the Chunky Bar?. I also loved them Charleston Chews and a Coca- Cola on a hot summer day. Burned all the way down...mmm. Ulcer makes em both a no-no now.

Back in the 1940's there was a small Mom & Pop grocery store with a case of loose candy.

You would go in with a nickel or a dime - sometimes a Penny - and say I will take two of these, one of those, four of ..........

Try to remember the candies

pack of candy cigarettes

root beer barrel

Wax bottle with sweet liquid

kernel of corn candy

Strip of paper with candy dots

Hard candies

milk duds

Maybe you can help out!!

Howdy,

Chocklit is the all time favorite but I liked the rainbow colored jelly candy.

I have no idea what it was called, haven't seen it or looked for it in years.

But if I had some extra nickels I bought caps for my capgun right along with that candy.

Best
