Assassin
HIPAA is the problem. Individuals suffering from mental health issues can't be reported by health providers, they have privacy rights. Thus, when they fill out paperwork to purchase a firearm nothing is in the system to stop them from approval. The Fed. protects those with physical and mental issues and no one wants their info out there for all to see.
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
So the women in the office were talking about the "horrible shooting" this morning. I dared point out that he'd killed as many with a knife as with a gun... and they all stared at me as if I'd suddenly offered up an opinion on the amount of vanilla extract to use in a cookie recipe ~ totally irrelevant. I guess they figure I just don't get it.
Yellowhouse Sam # 25171
Hardpan, don't you realize that being shot is a much more horrible death than being worked over by a knife. Its even worse than being popped by a hammer or baseball bat. And heck, fists don't even count!
