"Gun Free Zone" is a misnomer; criminals keep bringing guns into them.

I reckon they are better called "Criminal Protection Zones."

Instead of the circle-and-slash "No Guns" sign, it ought to read, "Dear Criminals: Everyone within has been legally disarmed for your convenience. Enjoy."

I hadn't ought to be so cynical.
