Deuce Stevens SASS#55996 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 SOLD Winchester 1897 "D" model takedown made in 1906 according to my references. Gun is set up for CAS I have shot exactly 2 stages with it and can attest that it works well. Gun holds 5 rounds of both AA and STS shells and feeds from the mag as it should. Action has been tuned by myself and has a fresh new manufactured ejector spring. Gun is very smooth but still reliable with all primers. Takedown function works the best of any i've ever owned, The action had never been tightened and I took it up one notch so this gun has a whole bunch of shooting left in it. Serial numbers match on both action and front end. Wood is solid with no cracks. Bore is shiny but could be shine like glass with after some flex hone action, or shoot it as it. Barrel is cut to 18.5" with big brass bead installed. What it isn't is a collectors beauty queen. Finish is all patina and dark with various scratches and staining, it appears the gun was carried a lot and wiped down very little. No buttplate but have a small rubber recoil pad and leather but cover on it. But it is a heck of a solid 97' and is not a parts gun. I'm not passing along a problem gun here. Just don't need it and have a stable full of IAC's that I shoot. $485 gets it shipped to your FFL and FFL must be willing to accept from a individual. First "I'll take it " posted here gets it. Thanks for looking. SOLD

captqueeze Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Wow!! I just had a Model 12 completely redone including action work and re-bluing and it looks showroom new. It's a 1923 and all numbers match. This one would look perfect next to her and I'm thinking real hard about doing a deal. Someone please buy this soon so I can save my marriage. Capt
