Rillito Red
Sold Pending Funds This has been in my safe for about 12 years now, and there are some other things I'd like to get (motorcycles and sailboats). I fired one round through it after I got it, and it functioned fine. This is a genuine rocket pistol from the 1960's, made in San Ramon, California by MBA. This is a Model B in 13mm with the presentation case. The case looks well used. The pistol looks new. 10 rounds of ammunition are included. The ammunition sells for $50 to $100 a round. Price is $2,200 with the ammunition. If you don't want the ammunition, the gun and case are $1,750. I will not sell the ammo separately unless the gun sells first. It needs to go through a C&R or an FFL. There's nothing left after firing. It is all consumed in the firing
English Bob
Ivery Wonder if the bullets/cartridges/whatever they call the ammo could be reloaded? The entire cartridge is basically a small rocket. There is no spent cartridge ejected from the gun (which is why it can be so light) so nothing to reload. Unless you can go find the "bullet" after it hits it's target. In which case... you know how they tell you that reloading is not rocket science? Well, in this case it is.... literally!
Captain Long Story, US Cavalry
The ammo looks deceptively simple - http://www.sturmgewehr.com/bhinton/Misc_Pics/GyroJetCartridge.jpg There's alot written on these pieces, like Ronald Reagan once owning one and that the guy who built them had gotten the money to start his company by winning a contest to build nuclear reactor that could fit into an eighteen wheeler trailer. FriscoCounty
The cartridge isn't much different from the volcanic cartridge.
