Cypress Sam, SASS #10915
We will be spending a week in DC later this month and wondered if there are any firearms museums there worth seeing. I've heard that the Smithsonian has a good firearms display but can't find it on line. Any other suggestions for things to see would also be appreciated. jrswanson1
The NRA HQ has a big museum. It's a few miles west of DC in Fairfax, VA. If you go during the week the cafeteria is open, they have decent food.

Edward R S Canby, SASS#59971
A third vote for the NRA museum. Also, the Smithsonian American History Museum has a Civil War exhibit worth seeing. My wife and I enjoyed it a month ago.
