Deuce Stevens SASS#55996 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 SOLDHave for sale a Uberti 1873 carbine in .357 mag that I bought here on the wire a couple of months ago for a new shooter. Turns out the rifle has a few issues and I do not have the time nor the desire to fix these issues. So here it goes. The bolt, firing pin extension and lifter arm have all been brazed at some point. The hammer and firing pin extension have been over smithed at some point and time and the hammer will no longer stay at full cock. When I first got the rifle I was able to fire one round and it did go bang and extract. The rifling appears bright and there is no rust on this gun. The outside finish is not good but with average dings in the wood of a rifle that has been cowboy shot. Wood appears to have been stripped and oil finished. It has the welded one piece trigger that it came with and is missing the saddle ring and dust cover. You will be able to see in detail the mods and issues in the pics. I make no claims of reliability and buyer will be buying this 100% as is. I believe it savable but again in all honesty don't have the time with our new little girl close to arriving and am a bit disgusted by the whole deal. I paid $795 plus $25 for shipping and a transfer fee to my dealer. This is what I know about the rifle. I am asking $600 shipped. Again rifle is being sold as is. it will be shipped with the stock off the rifle and both pieces bubble wrapped. Must go to FFL and FFL must be willing to accept from a individual. First "I'll take it" posted here gets it. See pics here http://smg.photobucket.com/user/deucestevens45/library/Uberti%2073%20project%20gun?sort=3&page=1 SOLD
