Governor Cuomo in the latest interview in the Democrat & Chronicle said in reference to the upcoming deadline for registration of rifles under the NY (un)SFAE Act that

"You have been registering your handgun for decades and decades and decades," Cuomo said. "When has government ever come and knocked on your door and said, 'I know that you have five handguns because they're registered'? It hasn't happened. So I never understood the fear in the first place because it hasn't happened."

For the US....Hasn't happened yet (aside from some of the proclaimed instances where those who supposedly cannot have firearms are now having them taken away by local and state governments).... It is the fact that it can happen that is worrisome.

Oh yeah.... But did they actually use a register to collect the arms?... Or did they just confiscate as they went house to house? That was a BS deal right there.
