DE-COCKING off the clock. edited....

There was a recent thread about de-cocking off the clock on the line.

There are no assumptions accepted here if you want to be sure you aren't SDQed..

As a shooter if you need to de-cock before the first shot you MUST get permission from the TO, and you MUST WAIT for the TO's approval. I look over my shoulder at the TO when I'm asking, carefully.

as the TO, if you tell someone to stop for some reason before the first round has gone downrange and they have a cocked pistol you must give permission for the person to de-cock, restart is not enough, the command to de-cock is needed, separate from the stop or telling to restart, do it that way to make sure the shooter doesn't get SDQed .

The onus falls on the shooter,, MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR PERMISSION TO DE-COCK AND WAIT FOR PERMISSION FROM THE TO!!! to make sure you don't get SDQed.

I APPOLOGISE FOR THE GRIEF I MAY HAVE CAUSED THOSE THAT WERE PART OF THAT CASE THAT I ARGUED SO ADAMENTLY FOR/AGAINST. but I do have a point!
