SGT. QUINCANNON, SASS #32999 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Most claustrophobic film I've ever seen!
Subdeacon Joe Posted March 15, 2014 Author Posted March 15, 2014 The first time I saw the movie it was with a gentleman who had been in submarines in WWII.
Four-Eyed Buck,SASS #14795 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 The Type VII-C's were smaller than out fleet boats, therefore, more cramped.
Red Gauntlet , SASS 60619 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 The first time I saw the movie it was with a gentleman who had been in submarines in WWII. I like the theatrical release better because the director's cut is just too long. A great movie. My senior (long-retired) law partner, now 92, was a submariner in WWII. Four war patrols. He never liked Das Boot. He considered the boat a non-shipshape mess.
