A Bunch of Stuff For Sale

Recommended Posts

I really need to raise some funds so I have a bunch of stuff for sale.

First grouping has three paintings by owner/editor of True West magazine Bob Boze Bell.

The first painting is of Doc Holliday. I have seen this painting used in several recent issues of True West.

This painting is $500.

Next painting is of Mickey Free, entitled "Mick Rides into Los Muertos"

This one is $300.

And the last painting is a neat painting entitled "Chico Barela"

This one is also $300.

Next grouping is several old photographs dating to the 1800's.

First is an original Cabinet Card photograph of Buffalo Bill Cody, taken by Pirou in Paris (when Cody was doing a European tour in 1889). This photograph has rarely been published- and is EXTREMELY difficult to find another copy- making me to believe there were only a few made. If that was the case then there is a good chance it might have been owned by someone that knew Cody, or even Cody himself (probably not...). I have found a similar photograph taken by Pirou that was in similar condition that was owned by Johnny Baker, close friend and fellow performer with Cody. In my opinion this photograph was once owned by Baker, but I cannot 100% prove it. Many photographs of Cody have been widely reproduced; however there weren't many copies made by Pirou. Even less of this particular pose. Like I have said earlier, I have only seen one other photograph of this particular pose, and it wasn't even the original like this is. So this photograph is EXTREMELY rare

Asking $500 for this very rare piece of old west history!

Next is a grouping of 4 photographs:

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_1569_zps66850213.jpg

1) Cabinet Card of the top of Pikes Peak taken by W.E. Hook. Photograph shows the station at the top of Pikes Peak. It centers around a donkey that is being used to haul equipment and has a sign that says "I HELPED TO BUILD PIKES PEAK RAILROAD." Underneath the donkey it says "The old way" and next to the train it says "and the new."

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_1574_zpsebce30d3.jpg

2) Cabinet Card of man on a donkey. Great image of a well dressed man (Cowboy?) sitting side saddle on a donkey. Great image with the town in the background!

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_1573_zpsabf6ecd1.jpg

3) CDV photograph of a cowboy in his nice suit and an excellent straw hat! Has a nice Wyatt Earp mustache!

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_1571_zps09d7be7b.jpg

4) Cabinet Card photograph of a man taken by C. B. Rust of Aberdeen, South Dakota. The really interesting thing about this photograph is the back of the card, in which another image seems to have imprinted itself. Not sure how this happened but it is really cool. The image on the back shows 2 cowboys, one of which looks like he has a gun tucked in his waistband! I can't be for sure, but that is what it looks like.

I am asking for only $50 for this group!

Next is a VERY RARE glass plate negative of the Clinton House in Peoria, IL. According to the Peoria Historical Society, this glass plate negative is the only remaining photograph of the Clinton House- and it is a photograph of a painting! This glass plate negative dates to around 1844-1850's. Included with the negative is an actual photograph that I made from the negative.

I am asking for $175.

Next grouping of items is clothing.

First up for sale is this great pair of lightweight pants by Frontier Classics. Very nice and comfortable material. Hasn't been worn. Size 36.

Asking $30.

I have one vest for sale. It was made by Red River in Tujunga, CA. These are quite rare now because they weren't made for very long and are known for being historically accurate. This fits about a medium and is a nice purple/redish color.

Asking $35.

I have 2 vintage(ish) fedoras for sale. One was made by Stetson, and the other just has a "WW" on the liner, and imprinted on the sweatband says "Jewels of Ecuador / Genuine Monticristi"

The Stetson seems to be in near mint condition. The tag says it is a size 8, or 64.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/For%20Sale/IMG_0923.jpg

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/For%20Sale/IMG_0924.jpg

The "WW" is also in great condition- although might need some reblocking. I cannot find a size tag on it but it fits about the same as the Stetson.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/For%20Sale/IMG_0928.jpg

I am asking for $200 shipped for both hats.

Next is a great hat made by Akubra in Australia. They are known for making good quality hats that are built to last. I do not remember the model of this hat but it would make a good CAS hat! It is a size 62.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_0354_zps6953ec2b.jpg

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_0355_zpsfc1f55a1.jpg

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_0357_zps96b73c33.jpg

I am asking for $100.

Last grouping is for some cameras I have for sale:

First is a Nikon Coolpix P500. This camera is in excellent shape.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_0252_zps59f8c6b5.jpg

I am looking for $175 plus shipping.

Second is a Nikon Coolpix S01. This is a great little camera! So small it could be on a keychain! There is some scuffing on the body but doesn't effect the camera at all.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_0255_zpseff7f0e9.jpg

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_0256_zps436f2f7d.jpg

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_0259_zps62a2055d.jpg
