Blind Dog
Some of you might know who Mike Barranti is. At the end of this post I will include a link to his web site. Mike "Doc" Barranti's work is highly sought after in the custom single action world. He has been featured in American Handgunner along with high praise from John Taffin. The waiting list and his turn around time is long because his work is of the highest quality and he is essentialy a one man shop. Last June I ordered his version of the classic Hank Sloan shuck. Hank Sloan http://historicalgmen.squarespace.com/my-fathers-legacy-sac-henry-l/ was very influential in 1930's FBI organization. A real G man. Yesterday my Barranti shuck was waiting for me in the mail. I was like a kid at Christmas! I tore that box open like a pit bull on crack! My wait time was rewarded with, what to me, is a very functional piece of art. An heirloom quality product that I can pass on to my son. Please visit his web site as the work represented is beautiful with some entertaining and informative writings. http://www.barrantileather.com/ Oh, for those who are interested the revolver is a Smith and Wesson Model 10-8, one of the last non-mim and pinned barrel models. The knife is a Bear and Sons skinner, small but effective. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee519/papaw46/BarrantiSloan007_zpsdf5750c5.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee519/papaw46/BarrantiSloan006_zpsfe303eae.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee519/papaw46/BarrantiSloan005_zpsc278f9be.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee519/papaw46/BarrantiSloan004_zps49f3a4cc.jpg
