Take-Down Gun Carts

Mine is kind of needing some help...thought I might look into the Cart-right gun cart. Anyone have any experience with that one? For that matter, any of the "traveling"type gun carts. Have NO woodworking skills before anyone recommends a set of plans. Just want to buy one :)

While this is wood, it is very easy to use and it fits easily in the trunk of my 1992 Sentra. Really nice cart for traveling, I also added saddlebags which really helps.

I just ordered one of these Gun Cart Kits.

http://www.cal-graf.com/products-page/gun-carts/simple-cart-pine/

I liked idea of having both a lower and upper storage box as well as a mobile seat.

I'm not a big wood worker either but I figured I'd give it a go. It should be here sometime this week.

I'll let you know when I get it built and tested.

Is Cart-right still in business? I can't find their site. The link goes to a holder page

I highly recommend the Cal-Graf simple cart kit. That's what we started with 12 years ago, and it's served us well. I bought a Rugged Gear 4-gun car a while back, and that's what we're using now, because of the weight. The Rugged Gear is a lot easier to lift!

I've still got the Cal-Graf, and actually prefer it when I'm shooting percussion, as it makes a solid base for my cap and ball loader. I'm keeping it for a backup!

Here's the Rugged Gear website. You see a lot of these now:

Been using the deluxe model for 4+ yrs, 110% happy with it.

I'm/we moving to Oklahoma end of March,.. 90 cal, and I make guncarts & action targets, so iff'n you can wait til then plus time to set up, I'll make & sell you one.

Will be at Land Run, see ya thar.

in the meantime check out my website, at http://www.sswdistributors.com & don't take any notice of the prices,...they're Aussie, they will be coming down.

Any pre orders very welcome on anything.

I just got one from Koda Joe

it folds into a small suitcase, weights only 20lbs, and can be a carry on for air travel.

holds 4 long guns and enough ammo for the match. really good craftsmanship!

Try 770 301 0277 for Koda Joe. He can build these with several different woods depending on your needs. One of the carts he built was the one Fast Eddie won 2nd place Best Cart at EOT last year. .

+1 on Koda Joe's work....a real craftsman and a good pard. I had him to finish a gun cart I bought "in the nude" from someone else....he did a great job.

Joe doesn't do much "interneting" and does not get on the Wire. If you can't get ahold of him at the number McKenzie posed above just drop a PM to McKenzie or myself or any other of the Georgia folks that frequent the Wire. We see him almost every weekend at a monthly match.
