Noz Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I could handle the idea that Billy was simply mis understood and really a nice guy but the idea of his favorite rifle being the 1873 Winchester in 45 cal got me to turn it off.
Pulp, SASS#28319 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Picky, picky, picky. I suppose next you'll gripe cause John Wayne carried a '92 before the Civil War even started! :-) Give 'em credit, they only missed by 0.454-0.428=0.026 inches. You gonna show up for Pursuit? It falls pretty good for my calender, only have to take off Thursday night.
Colorado Coffinmaker Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Noz, You musta missed the Histerical Channel having their "expert" hold a Henry replica near vertical and drop the rounds down on top of one another ........................ They are not necessarily ........ Bright Coffinmaker
Nasty Newt # 7365 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 The people making the JW movies knew what they were doing and didn't care. But there is no excuse for such sloppiness when what you're putting on the screen is offered up as historical fact.
Boon Doggle Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 The History Channel. Re-writting American history in a more Politically Correct way. Facts, facts. We don't need no stinking facts.
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 The History Channel needs a new name.
Smoken D Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 History Channel would never deceive would they?
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 It has morphed into showing so much "reality" that History is hard to find in their schedule.
Steel-eye Steve SASS #40674 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Noz, You musta missed the Histerical Channel having their "expert" hold a Henry replica near vertical and drop the rounds down on top of one another ........................ They are not necessarily ........ Bright Coffinmaker I remember that episode. It depicted how a rimfire Henry rifle would have been reloaded in the field. I see no problem with that, the show was on wild west technology not safety at a SASS match.
Four-Eyed Buck,SASS #14795 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 There's a little more history on H2,I think. Other than the Ancient Aliens
