Lead Ringer Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I know this has been discussed before, but couldn't find anything in the search. I need to find the easiest way to post pictures on the SASS wire & classifieds, not using Photosuckit!!! Thanks in advance. Ringer P.S. Did I mention I'm a simpleton when I comes to operating high Tec equipment:)?
John Boy Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Sent you PM. Allie - an excellent pinned topic. Subject comes up too frequently and for those that don't know - though they want to, just don't. Why? Because the software is really not user friendly like that used on other forums
PaleWolf Brunelle, #2495L Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I found SmugMug to be very user-friendly...and their customer service is most excellent & fasssstt!
Lead Ringer Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 The pinned topic seems to talk about using photo bucket. I'm even struggling to use photo bucket. Dont know what had happened? I used to load up pics with PB?? Anyway it was always a pain in the a$$! I'll give smugmug a try:) Ringer
Roger Rapid Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 This question/issue has come up a lot. Try posting your photo using this: Where you want your photo to be, type in the line: [xxx]http://file location and name[/xxx] - replace the first xxx with "img" (if I used "img" in the example above, the system will look for the file and will cause an error) - replace the file location and name with the full address where your file is stored such as: server.com/mypistol.jpg - replace the last /xxx with "/img" ...RR
Key Hay Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 So I put this up on NWFA. http://www.northwestfirearms.com/general-firearm-discussion/81319-posting-pictures.html
John Boy Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Lead Ringer, believe I finally figured which Photobucket command code to use ... the one that just says ... IMG Click on it - it will say Copied in yellow. Then in the open 'reply to this topic' > mouse right click to Paste - click on it and the Photobucket link will be posted in the topic. Add any text but do not click on Preview
John Boy Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 ... Further: * When the IMG has been posted an the text added - click on Post * The Wire software also does not allow the post to be Edited
