Moms Demand Action

I grabbed this from another forum in PA.

The number of stories being pushed out by the PR arm of Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense in America has increased exponentially. And, I almost always find this paragraph at the end of every story.

About Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America

Much like Mothers Against Drunk Driving was created to change laws regarding drunk driving, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America was created to build support for common-sense gun reforms. The nonpartisan grassroots movement of American mothers is demanding new and stronger solutions to lax gun laws and loopholes that jeopardize the safety of our children and families. In just one year, the organization has more than 130,000 members with a chapter in every state in the country. For more information or to get involved visit www.momsdemandaction.org. They are using the same strategy and tactics that allowed MADD to influence major changes in the laws governing alcohol and the police actions associated with enforcement of those laws. When MADD started, they said their purpose was “To aid the victims of crimes performed by individuals driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, to aid the families of such victims and to increase public awareness of the problem of drinking and drugged driving." There were many people who said their real purpose was to ban alcohol but nobody was listening.

Since then the original founder quit MADD stating that the radicals had taken over and they are now trying to ban alcohol.

The Mothers Demand will follow the same path and they now have Bloomberg money bankrolling them. Politicians will be crucified if they speak out against "Moms" and "Saving the Children."

Here are their current stated goals. Rest assured their primary goal is the total banning of all guns.

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots organization that educates, motivates, and mobilizes moms and families to take action for stronger gun laws and policies that save lives. We envision a country where all children and families are safe from gun violence. Our common-sense solutions to the escalating problem of gun violence in the United States are straightforward:

1) Require background checks for all gun and ammunition purchases;
2) Ban assault weapons and ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds;
3) Track the sale of large quantities of ammunition, and ban online sales;
4) Establish product safety oversight of guns and ammunition, and require child-safe gun technology;
5) Support policies at companies and public institutions that promote gun safety;
6) Counter the gun industry's efforts to weaken gun laws at the state level.

They are using the same "Rules for Radicals" followed by Obama. We can do the same.

Saul Alinsky strikes again. As a Dartmouth graduate, I am constantly embarrassed by the sad fact that he received full tenure as an Ivy League professor. What a wonderful country we would be if Yale and Harvard had been consigned to the dust bins of ancient history.
