My Dad used to have a gun shop in California that I worked in part time for years. Back in the early 50s there was a 72 hour waiting period for the purchase of a handgun. It only went to the county sheriff as I remember. I had more than just the buyer info, had everything about the handgun....Mfgr, caliber, s/n, etc. If that wasn't gun registration, then tell me what it was. Link to comment
