Michigan Slim
A young man, who I call my "adopted son" came home from Fort Bliss Friday. He has been my son's best friend since cub scouts and my wife and I love him like a son. He shot his first deer sitting with me last year... Anyways, on his way home, traveling thru airports, he didn't have to pay for a meal, he was thanked for his service many many times, and had folks offer to carry his luggage. If any of these people were any of you -you have my heart felt thanks. You made a really nice kid stand a little taller. And so you all know -things like that do not go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated. A very Merry Christmas to you all. Mark Aurich
DocWard
I'm glad to hear people are still positively responding to our service people. Send along my thanks for his service.

Calamity Kris
Please thank him for his service from our homestead as well. Uno and I were at Costco a couple of days ago and saw an Air Force Corporal checking out with her family. I walked over and shook her hand, thanking her for her service. She replied she was glad to do it. Her mother beamed and her siblings looked very proud, as they should be.
Charlie Harley, #14153
I rarely bought meals in airports when traveling in uniform many moons ago, and I make sure today's soldiers don't either. It weren't me on Friday, but I'm happy your "son" was treated right.
