Looks like more and more people in the press are starting to take notice. While the title is somewhat dismissive, the article isn't too bad.

Howdy,

I had a hard time getting my sister to a SASS match.

Once at the range all she wanted to do was chat with various folk.

Finnally I got her to actually shoot a couple guns.

Then she tried my Marlin 357.

A smooooothe lever gun tuned by Pecos Red.

She liked it.

If you are introducing someone to shooting get something nice and controllable.

Just don't give em too much ammo.....

they will shoot ever last dang round.

I have only gotten to a CAS shoot a few times. I haven't had the opportunity to get Mrs. Doc to a shoot yet, but I did get my older daughter. She got to shoot a stage after the shoot and had a blast. I am sure if the opportunity allows, she will get involved. My wife isn't what I would call an avid shooter, but she is competent, so with luck...

Got a little girl that puts most of us male gun nuts ta shame. She's got the bug bad. Her own gun safe is needed now cause a all her guns clutterin mine! If we had any guns that is. All hypothetical here......
