Seven Mile Tom
At the bigger multi-day shoots there is usually an activity to raise money for the SASS Scholarship. What is the best way to do this, poker or bingo or some other activity?
Most Wanted
Timing and location are probably just as important as what game you play . If its convenient more will come . I vote poker .
Grizzly Dave
Ain't never seen one play games to raise money for charity. Seen fund raiser raffles though. My vote would be poker or blackjack.

Marshal TKD, Sass # 36984L
Neither. We arrested people and tossed them in jail. We where lucky to have the Judge there to sign the arrest warrants. We did this during our Friday Night Party. We raised over $700 for the scholarship fund. Problem with Bingo and poker is they will exclude a bunch of folks.

Most Wanted
Hey Tom , I misread your name on my first post . Had a good time shooting with you at bordertown . Some may not want to play games of chance so also having a raffle to help raise money seems to work but as for a "activity" goes bingo and poker seem to get the most people in a room . We played poker at WR the year we went and the tent was filled with people 8 to 80 . Lots of fun . Would like to know what shoot this is for and to wish you good luck . Hopefully its a shoot we can make .
Mack Hacker, #60477
I would think that anyone that objects to poker or bingo as a "game of chance" would have the same view of a raffle.

Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
We do both at Winter Range and run them at the same time. The bingo players out number the poker players by at least 10 to 1.
