stepnmud#33546
How hard to change out the 3/4 magazine tube for a full lenght tube. Did not see any parts available from Numrich or Brownells.
Goody, SASS #26190
Some used to do this when I first started. Pretty sure they were just getting a 357 tobe. They didnot hang the front, and had no troubles.
Three Foot Johnson
I bought a basket case half mag 24" Marlin 38-40 last year with no tube. I ordered a modern full length replacement, spring, end cap, and mounting stud, cut a dovetail with a couple needle files and mounted it up. Works fine. The 32-20 tube is the same as the .357 tube. Doc Fill 'Em 67797
All you'll need is a new mag tube and spring, you can re-use the tube cap,mag follower, screw and mounting stud. Cut a dovetail for the stud and you're all set. Here's the mag tube: http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/1409270.htm and spring: http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/800100-05AL.htm
