Jimmy Reb, SASS #54804 Posted October 15, 2013 Share Posted October 15, 2013 Marlin cowboy has new carrier. Sometimes with a full mag (9 or 10) will lock up. You don't say what caliber your rifle is but whatever it is, make sure the cartridge is the correct length. Too short can cause a lock up. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Too short can cause a lock up. +1 In addition, Marlins in 38 tend to be more picky about the bullet. Mine like RNFP, and don't much care for the TCFP stuff...
