Tex Jones, SASS 2263
I saw an ad on tv for a model of the Victory in 1/84th scale. The web site shows quite a bit of detail and the kit is priced at $1,200, payable in one shot or installments. Any one ever hear of it?
John Barleycorn, SASS #76982
That was Admiral Nelson's Flagship. Probably the most easily recognized, and feared ship during the golden age of sail.

Cliff Hanger #3720LR
For $1200 this models should come assembled. Â Â Kits of HMS Victory in 1/84 sell for $530 up to ??? Â Active Power Sports $530 Â Tower Hobbies $650.00 Â Mico Mark $660.00 Â On this forum there are many scale sailing ships. Â Some are museum pieces now. The Royal Williams was finished this year and was sold to a business man in Japan in June for $15,600. Lots of construction photos. The detail is something to see. Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
There are many 1/84 models of the Victory out there. I would look for comments on a modeler's forum. I suspect that anything on an infomercial is not the best available and at that price I would certainly be extra suspicious.

G #1840
That is a wooden model kit. The result will depend on how good you are at that type of thing, Heller makes a 1/100 scale Victory in plastic. Its supposed to be incredibly detailed. Costs on that vary from 100-200 dollars. I tried the 1/96 Constitution from Revell years ago. I didnt have the patience to tie all those damned knots with a tweezer.
