Kirk James Posted September 30, 2013 Share Posted September 30, 2013 I would like to thank all the participates of the Verde Valley Range Wars, and to the Yavapai Rangers for their contribution to the Red Rock High School Boys and Girls Basketball Team. Many high school programs across the nation are underfunded and need help. Team member collected brass in the exchange for a donation to their team. In all $1221.00 was raised to support their program. The Range Wars had 122 participate and was a great match with long range shooting, wild bunch, cowboy action, a chili cook off, swap meet, raffle and door prizes, a pot luck and a special desert contest. The stages were fantastic and the organization of the event was exceptional. Several parents of the brass pickers came out to watch. We appreciate the help and hope that all you brass pickers got to have some fun too. I thought I saw a few getting in on the action after the whole match was over.
