Major Pain....

The Hacienda Hotel and Casino has a discounted rate for the Cowboys.

The Railroad Pass Hotel and Casino is the closest to the range and has decent rates.

Boulder City has several motels as well as the Boulder City Inn but most will be full by now due to a Local Event.

Gotta go with Ace of Hearts on this one - this close to the event, it will be hit and miss in Boulder City who even has rooms left.

Boulder Cities largest annual event "Art in the Park" falls on the same weekend as our shoot.

I would just "Google" Boulder City Nevada hotel and motel rooms and start making calls.

Henderson is the closest "city" to Boulder City - figure about a 15 mile drive each way if staying in Henderson.

The Fiesta Henderson is probably the closest Non Boulder City hotel.

On a happy note - we just received in the award buckles for Eldorado.

They were always nice, but we made a couple of minor changes to them and they look really great.

Most anyone will be proud to have one of these hanging off their belt.

The Fiesta Henderson is a great Hotel except they do not loan there carts out, Bell boy service only !!!! Not good for us daily gun toters. At the Railroad pass Doors are Extra ! Lots of AZ. Shooters stay at the Hacienda Hotel year after year.

Lots of AZ. Shooters stay at the Hacienda Hotel year after year.

I like the Hacienda, even from a locals standpoint.

Great little steak house.

The coffee shop has some great value priced meals - mmmm 3/4 pound Trucker Burger.

They have a neat little movie theatre and from time to time run some classic movies as well as first run.

The only thing wrong with the Hacienda is they no longer offer live poker.

The problem is, I kinda have to go over the mountains first, I don't think the other side got it like we did here.

My preparations are well underway, and with each task I'm getting more and more excited.

Hoping to pull in to the range early afternoon next Thursday, pick up my shooter packet and drop off my guncart and some of my gear with one of the vendors so I don't have to schlep everything back and forth to the hotel while thumbing rides. Then I'll get my mom to drop me at the Hacienda before she heads back into Vegas. I keep trying to convince her that it's worth cab fares not to have to drive the strip and park, but so far she isn't listening to me.

Edit, oh, I guess on Thursday while I'm at the range I should make arrangements to bum a ride for Friday and Saturday morning too...

By Thursday the side matches will be well underway, with shooting into the late afternoon.

Thursday evening right at sunset will begin the Cowboy Clays, (We have to wait till the sun goes down so it's not in your eyes)
