Got to loading table, owned gate, and there bigger'n Dallas, is a spent round in my pistol. Both myself and the unloading table officer missed it. Stage DQ. Moral of the story, check and double check! And....there was a shooter who thought the penalty should have been on the ULT officer. nope, my gun, my responsibility. And I did have a good day. Loading table.. lever my rifle a couple times.. drop the hammer..Load it.. Uuuhhh oh... I got an extra rifle round layin' there on the table.. OK... unloaded it... and loaded it correctly.. Ready ta shoot.. Went up ... staged my rifle.. went over and stage my shotgun.. Came back.. TO said Rance ol' friend.. got DQ ya.. ya forgot ta put yer hammer down.. Dang... Rance Thinkin'.. was that a stage DQ or a Match DQ I took my medicine, smiled, went to the unloading table and picked up brass.. We've all got our first one..and we're just waitin' fer the 2nd.. Charlie T Waite Posted September 8, 2013 Share Posted September 8, 2013 2nd match I was ever at drew pistol, hit fence rail, lost pistol, MDQ - packed everything away & then helped with posse duties, ULT, Spotter & reset targets. Last stage - shot pistols-clean, shot rifle-clean, downed 4 SG- shucked the shells- CLEAN MATCH !!. What's that Mr. RO, YOU WANT TO SHOW ME SOMETHING ? Oh, you mean that case on the rifle carrier ? (sound of air rushing out of balloon). Yeah, I believe you have a point there, guilty as charged. Pretty much everyone who's been shooting more than 5 years or so has been in that movie ........ or one similar. Not exactly the same & just a MSV, but boy did that hurt.
