.243 VS .223

Recommended Posts

.243 loaded with 75 grain Hornady hollow points is definitely a 300 yard coyote whacker...

I've got 2 .223's and a .243, and my .243 goes to the coyote ranges with me a lot more often than either of the the .223's...

Antelope and .243 just seem to go together in my mind. Of course, that is all emotional thinking. I have never hunted antelope nor have I ever hunted with a .243.

Guess I have lived a sheltered life.

I've been lucky enough to do a fair amount of antelope hunting and the 243 is my favorite.

Who knows, maybe it's my cabin rifle now. ;) Love that little rifle. Like you say, great gun to throw over your shoulder for a hike.
