Jess Nicktem, SASS #47284
1) Cabinet Card of the top of Pikes Peak taken by W.E. Hook. Photograph shows the station at the top of Pikes Peak. It centers around a donkey that is being used to haul equipment and has a sign that says "I HELPED TO BUILD PIKES PEAK RAILROAD." Underneath the donkey it says "The old way" and next to the train it says "and the new." 2) Cabinet Card of man on a donkey. Great image of a well dressed man (Cowboy?) sitting side saddle on a donkey. Great image with the town in the background! 3) CDV photograph of a cowboy in his nice suit and an excellent straw hat! Has a nice Wyatt Earp mustache! 4) Cabinet Card photograph of a man taken by C. B. Rust of Aberdeen, South Dakota. The really interesting thing about this photograph is the back of the card, in which another image seems to have imprinted itself. Not sure how this happened but it is really cool. The image on the back shows 2 cowboys, one of which looks like he has a gun tucked in his waistband! I can't be for sure, but that is what it looks like. I am looking for $50 plus shipping for all 4 cabinet card photographs. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_1569_zps66850213.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/jnicktem/IMG_1575_zpsc82b31c9.jpg
