Is it too early to talk trash about college football?

It's going to be a good year for ROLL TIDE!! and ROCKY TOP!!

With kids at both schools we are what is known as a "house divided", but so goes life. It's going to be a good year for sure!

Talk about a house divided. My 5 kids all went to different schools! Purdue, West Virginia, Northern Illinois, University of Illinois at Chicago, and LSU!!

Well.....how about Johnny Football. Preseason polls now have him as 2nd string QB. Wonder if he will play this year?

Won't be long now ya'll....college football will be starting soon.

I don't think the Vols will have sufficient alumni funds to bail out enough players to field a team!

Roll Tide!!!

Haven't you heard. Fulmer is GONE

GO VOLS

Bama is looking at VA Tech, Tex A&M, CO State Ole Miss, GA State, Kentucky, Arkansas, TN, LSU, MS State, Chattanooga, and Auburn. I don't see much to worry about there other than A&M and LSU. I'm convinced that with two weeks to prepare, and carrying a grudge from last year, we'll beat A&M. So it looks like LSU.....then maybe GA or USC in the SEC Championship....then Ohio or Oregon?

So week one is right around the corner. I'm ready to stick my neck out and make some predictions (donning flame retardant suit).

1. Bama beats VA Tech easily.

2. Ohio beats Buffalo easily.

3. Oregon beats Nichols (never heard of them)

4. Stanford isn't playing

5. Georgia beats #8. Clemson

6. SC beats NC.

7. Texas A&M beats Rice

9. Louisville beats Ohio

10. Florida beats Toledo

Of course as a Bama fan I'll watch them, but the only game in the top ten that looks competitive is Georgia Clemson.

Nichols State University is located in Thibodaux, LA...just north of where my two sons were born (Houma)....that would be in Southeast La those Alabama geography majors

Johnny Football is going to play. It might be fun to watch him try for his second Heisman.

Tennessee looks to have as much chance of turning their program around this year as Bronson Pinchot does of reviving his acting career

You never know. There's alway's Branson.

Boy, rough night for my Huskers Saturday. A win is a win, but to barely beat an unranked opponent at home,...not good. Unless they get the defense fixed fast, it is gonna be a long season

Good point. I'll take the win and hope they don't take the next team as lightly

When Bama stops playing the little sisters of the poor for non-league games, the'll have my respect. Till then - no.

They would never make it thru a pac 12 season undefeated.

I'd like to see alot more Pac12-SEC non-conference games in the future. Would have me watchin'.
