Tom Foolery U.S.M. #2348
My good friend STAN LYNDE passed yesterday. He was the spark that ignited my interest in the OLD WEST. REST IN PEACE, STAN. Tom Foolery
Sage Creek Gus SASS #64320
He will be missed, especially here in Montana. My wife and I handled his art work in our gallery here in Bigfork, MT. He was very well respecting for all he did for our state. Interestingly, we recently had the opportunity to reproduce, from the original publishing plate, a comic strip of his where Rick O'Shay got married. Until I saw it I didn't realize O'Shay had ever gotten married. Sage Creek Gus
Calamity Kris
Sorry to hear this. Rest in peace, Mr. Linde. I hear you've been feeling poorly yourself, Tom. Hope you are on the mend and all is well with you. You're in my prayers.
Tom Foolery U.S.M. #2348
Thanks Kris, I'm better. I spent the night of the 4th (and a few days) in ICU with an irregular heartbeat. They still don't know what started it. But it did cause a blood clot in my arm caused by a poorly placed IV. TF
Uno Mas SASS #80082
Rick O'Shay was always my first read in the funny pages. Stan's characters, writing, art and soul were always far above the rest of the offerings. . Godspeed, Mr. Lynde. Rest in Peace. Well done. Take care of yourself, Tom.
