Saved $ because of Dillons long tele wait...

Recommended Posts

The motor on my Dillon vibratory case cleaner was giving up the ghost, bearing squawking, took it to the local elec moter repair place and they didn't want to get into it, came home to call dillon for a new motor,,, I'm at the workbench on hold, total of 16 min 23 seconds til I hung up, and whilst I was waiting I starting taking the motor apart. bottom bearing real dirty and sticky, clean it real good and lube with good stuff, turned slick as a ribbon, it's running now in the garage.

So, this is a different kind of thank you to Dillon, you helped me save $ by not answering the phone quickly...

and if the bearing does go later, I'll take it back apart and take the armature with the bad bearing and have a new one pressed on...

The repair place didn't really want to risk opening it and finding sleeve bearings and charging me $70 an hour for nothing, but with ball bearing style bearings I'll have it repaired when and if needed.

I had the opposite experience. In the past, fairly quick answer and the parts were on the way. This time, instant answer. Not even a full ring. But .......... The part I needed isn't a warranty item. My powder check died. No beep. New battery, no beep. Hadda buy one.

Drat. Still great folks to do business with though.

PS: You can get individual parts a good deal cheaper, but I'm lazy and bought the whole plastic part.
