I have come seeking forgiveness.

Recommended Posts

Went fishing with my Son In Law yesterday. Caught some nice bows.

But I was using BAIT!

He is a gear fisher and since we went in his boat, I was a gear fisher also.

Had a great time and I finally got the stink off my fishing rod and reel.

Can I ever find forgiveness? My hands have touched BAIT!

Well, we really don't know that, Birdgun. I only caught it yesterday and it is still growing.

Last time I looked it was about 18 inches long and weighed about four pounds.

Now when I caught it, that hummer was only 14 inches and weighted about a pound a half.

Tomorrow, I expect it to be much larger.

BMC, no shame in using bait, especially for an old guy like you, or me, or anyone over 20 if they are holding a beer.

Congrats on going fishing, I hope you get to go again real soon.

Not familiar with bow fish. Fresh? Salt? Or are you abbreviating for rainbow? as in trout.

Yes. I apologize for that. Just too lazy to type it out. Beautiful fish. I would imagine that they are

sitting in a sauna right now, surrounded by wood smoke.

The lake is a put and take fishery/

Brook trout (or rainbows -small preferred) next to eggs, bacon and waffles.... Ah, one of my favorite memories from being a kid in Michigan..... And caught on worms....

Need to take a picture of the fish and see how much the photo weighs. Then take multiply by the number of pixels and square root the diagonal. <_<

Once you get the answer, forgiveness will be considered. -_-

Alas, my pixels are deformed and will not form a complete picture. I suppose that you will have to take my word, that the fish is indeed 22 inches long and weighs 6 pounds, give or take an ounce or two.

But I do carve forgiveness.

Chickasaw, I had no choice. It was either bait or swim. The water was cold.

Not one for eating trout. Pan fish, deep fried, is another matter. Anything deep fried is another matter.

Just as long as you don't become a master at it.

Okay, I'll do my best to forgive you. -_-

But, I'll never be able to trust you again. <_<

You are a wise and generous man, Birdgun.

In fact, I will not trust myself ever again, either.

Bait fishing is such a stigma.

A scarlet letter B should be branded on my fishing boots.

A wise man once told me this....

It is far better to have fished with bait, then never to have fished at all.

Or maybe I just made that up, I never know for sure.

Well.....Yeah!

It is better to have fished than to do most any other thing. Except, eat. And shoot. And drink. And then there is the ladies.

But it beats the heck out of taking out the trash......
