Rye Miles #13621 Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 As a drummer I have to say that was pretty cool!
Charlie Harley, #14153 Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 I saw them live a few years ago. The whole show was VERY impressive!
Subdeacon Joe Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 What gets me is how FAST their hands are.
Krazy Kajun Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 I think they all got a twitch in their arms...got the shakes REAL bad. ...actually those drummers are quite good...and FAST.
Dorado Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 My brother was in the Blast II Remix, that went on tour in Japan. Amazing collection of musicians.
Dubious Don #56333 Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Impressive but not Gene Krupa or Buddy Rich....
Tom Bullweed Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 I marched with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps in 1982 as an alto bugle player. I still play trumpet in church and other events and attend D&B shows every year. D&B is the ultimate marching class of corps. There are dozens of corps around the USA (plus Canada, Europe and Japan). These guys and gals are all under 22 and travel from May 31 to mid-August competing across our country every night. One night you might play in Charlotte, NC and then get on the busses to travel overnight to play the next night in Toledo, OH. Blast is an encore group of drummers, buglers and colorguard who aged through D&B and perform around the world to promote D&B. Check out www.dci.org to find a schedule of shows in your area. We hear so much negative about our youths, but these people are some of the hardest working you will see in that age group.
