Badlands Bob #61228
I've shot a S&W 500 and those weren't factory rounds. If they were, she would have a front site dent in her forehead after the 1st round. That is a painful gun to shoot, even two handed.
Subdeacon Joe
That's a long, heavy, ported revolver, lots of weight out front to help tame the recoil. And look at the musculature in her arms. I've shot the S&W 500 offhand like that, didn't embed the sight in my forehead. Did have more rise than she did, but not a whole lot more. I would guess that she had practiced, practiced, practiced in order to shoot like that for the video.
Smoken D
Padded shooting glove helped a bit.
Three Foot Johnson
Dat thing sure ain't recoiling much... Here's my first shot from my four incher with my *somewhat stout* 700 grain loads... I killed an elk 'bout 4 years back with 350 grainers in my 8 3/8"er.
Rooster Ron Wayne
that is a hand load all day long !
Capt. James H. Callahan
I must admit I've never shot a .500, but looks likes some downloaded ammo to me. My 6" M629 recoils a lot worse than that with hot .44 Mags. JHC
John E. Law
I call BS on that one. My light 350gn hand loads recoil 10 x more than what she's shooting let alone my heavy 500gn loads. Those look like stout .38 light 357 at best. My wife saw that and rolled her eyes. Shots 1 and 4 look especially weak. JEL
Bama Red
I agree - gotta be light loads. Not near enough recoil for them to be factory
