YOU ARE THE CALIFORNIA GUN LOBBY!

BE PROACTIVE AND GET INVOLVED

We've got good news to share...

Today is the last day for bills to be reported out of the Appropriations and Tax & Revenue Committees of their House of origin. Earlier today, AB 187 (Ammo Tax), AB 760 (Ammo Tax), and AB 1020 ($ Million DROS Expenditure to send letters) all failed todays' deadline for passage out of the Appropriations and Tax & Revenue Committees.

Most important of these were: AB 760, which would have assessed a 5 cent tax per round purchased, AB 187 which would have assessed a 10% tax on ammo, and AB 1020, which would have required the Attorney General to issue a letter during the 10-day waiting period to firearms purchasers advising of safe storage requirements and laws relating to gun trafficking at a cost of approximately $ 1 million.

Thanks to your ongoing efforts, there are three less bills we are facing this year...

Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend and remember those who paid the ultimate price.
