Subdeacon Joe
Winter storm warning: 12 inches of snow expected to fall through Wednesday, shatter Fort Collins record Fort Collins is looking to break a May 1 snowfall record as a major winter storm is expected to dump up to a foot of snow in Northern Colorado through Wednesday evening. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Fort Collins and western Weld County effective from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 6 p.m. Wednesday. That means between 6 and 12 inches of snow are expected to fall in Fort Collins through Wednesday evening, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to dive into the 20s Wednesday, while snowfall totals in the city could break a record for either April 30 or May 1, but not likely both days. Send some of that stuff out this way! The snowpack in the Sierra is almost gone, and we are having Red Flag fire warnings already.
