Hi Fellow Cowboys

Just a quick note to say i have shot this mans wepons and he keep them in fantastic condition, His sass rugers he just got about 5 -6 weeks ago and has not shot them much at all his SKB 100 is sweet i almost bought that shotgun but he beat me too it. This is set up to run with mechanical trigger and his release has been bent on an angle for a quick flick of the lever and the shotgun is open and a slight flick of the wrist and the hulls are gone. Just thought i would add my two cents to this add

.

Connecticut Yankee

P.S. The reason i am not buying this shotgun or revolvers is i just ordered a set of sass all tricked out and waiting for delivery also i bought 2 SKB 200e and had them all tricked out so dont need them any more.

What is the barrel length on the SxS?

Also could someone fill me in on the SKB, 100 vs 200, and what is a mechanical trigger? Why are they so expensive? I don't mind paying for quality, but is that vastly superior to the $400-$500 Stoegers and Biakals.

Thanks, JB

The major difference between the 100 vs 200 is the larger beaver tail forearm. I prefer the splinter forearm on the 100. The 200 also came with ejectors which of course have been disabled for SASS. Most if not all SKB SXS's came with an inertial trigger, which means after the first shot, recoil is required to switch the trigger to the other barrel. The trick has been to adjust the spring so that a light load will work in these shotguns. Once these are adjusted correctly they rarely fail to fire the second barrel, no matter what the load. The mechanical trigger is an addition of some custom made parts that will switch the trigger even if there are no rounds in the shotgun. They work great.

Now.... IMHO there is no comparison between the Stoegers, Biakals and the SKB. The SKB shotguns parts were hand fitted at the factory in Japan by craftsman.

When tweeked by masters such as Dirt, Johnny and a few others, the SKB's are the smoothest, fastest SXS shotguns out there. They are worth the money!! That is if you feel the need to go fast!
