Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Granny Annie's. Great food (especially breakfasts), good service, decent prices, perfect atmosphere. Might be a bit out of the way for some folks. Think it over. Granny Annie's Family Restaurant 286 N. 400 West Kaysville, Utah (801) 544-8817
Rowdy Yates, SASS #141 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 We'll need more than a 2 week advance for this one.
Cliff Hanger #3720LR Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Where's Kaysville? . . . And where's Utah?
Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 Kaysville is between Ogden and Salt Lake. Annie's is about 175 yards east of the I-15. We found a couple of other places that I wish were closer, but Granny Annie's is a true keeper. Used to be Doug and Emmie's in Layton before the new on ramp to the southbound freeway went through their parking lot and the south end on the dining room. Jeremiah's just east of the freeway on 12th Street in Ogden is a good one, too. So is Lisa's Country Kitchen on North main in Nephi where, if you're lucky you can watch the kid in the back room win a $5.00 bet by drinking some brown hot sauce from the bottle. It was very entertaining, but that boy ain't right in the head. I thought he was gonna die. I think he thought so, too. They had the best coffee on the whole trip.
Frazee Ridge, SASS #54171 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Hey Forty Rod: Have you guys ever tried Polly's Pies? Hope I can join you around Thanksgiving time. Frazee
Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 Wherezzittat, Frazee? Hel, we might be open to almost anything except a White House luncheon.
Clay Mosby Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Many decades ago there was a Mexican place in Bakersfield called Sinaloa. We would stop there anytime we went through the town. Fantastic food. Google search shows there is still a Sinaloa there, no idea if it's the same place/
Kendoo KId Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 sheesh, only 2197 miles from me. Wonder how I missed that one? Have a burger for me next trip.
