Chantry Posted April 24, 2013 Share Posted April 24, 2013 It took the Germans a while to learn the 1st Commandment when dogfighting a Thunderbolt: Thou shall not dive away from a Thunderbolt. According to the pilots nothing in the world went downhill faster then a Thunderbolt in a dive. And the running joke about the Skyraider was that wasn't how much fuel and weapons it had onboard that determined the combat radius, but how much oil for the engine it had.
