ANOTHER VIEW OF A LEGAL STOP & LEO ENCOUNTER

Recommended Posts

If you've ever watched Alaska State Troopers, those guys are also very respectful to gun carrying people even when the people are less than respectful to them.

This officer did a great job of handling the situation even when the guy wasn't as cooperative as he could have been. The guys from Temple could take lessons from him.

Hope they learn from their mistakes.

I've posted that video of the Oceanside cop a few times on threads about the "other kind" of stop.

Somehow he managed to be in control of the situation, be pleasant, respectful, a bit humorous, businesslike, all without going tough guy cop.

The guy carrying was real lucky he ran into a cool cop.

It is my understanding ID must be displayed when requested by a LEO.

You must identify yourself which means tell the officer your name. You don't have to show an ID card.
