Few in U.S. See Guns, Immigration as Nation's Top Problems

Guns Remains Low Priority for Americans

The 4% of Americans mentioning guns as the nation's top problem is

the same as it was last month, and comparable to the 6% in February and

4% in January and December, the last measure having been taken just

after the mass shooting at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. Prior

to these past several months, in recent years virtually no Americans

mentioned guns as the nation's top problem.

This is something else we can smack the politicians with.

Politicians only mess things up! They don't know how to fix anything!

If it will cost them votes or it's something they don't understand they

can't be bothered Ask yourself why are criminals treated better than

the citizens? Why do they make it easy on them and hard on us?

Because we tend to become complacent and we believe everything we hear!

God bless America :)

On an emotional level, I agree with you about the treatment of criminals - especially "white collar" criminals.

But I WANT them, anyone, to have every iota, every jot and tittle, every tiny drop of constitutional protection a lawyer can squeeze out. Because some day it might be my turn to have to face the raw, overwhelming power of the State. And I want everything I can get.

4,6 10 or 80 percent it does not matter The libs are in charge and those states with a majority of Dems will take matters into their own hands VIA states rights and they will pass the laws they want.

Thing is, it's all a numbers game to the capons in office. Where are the concerns deep down? The hot button emotional issues are too volatile for real staying power. If we can hammer them, once this wave of emotion has rolled past us, with this, that pretty consistently people ARE NOT concerned about guns, they may back off some.

It's a tool to use, not a sure fire, miracle solution. But a useful tool.
