Utah Bob #35998
The United States Supreme Court has declined to take up the hottestquestion about gun rights now dividing the nation's courts: is there aconstitutional right to carry a gun outside the home? The justices today passed up a challenge brought by five residentsof New York's Westchester County to a state law that forbids carrying agun unless a person desiring to do so can show "proper cause" -- somespecial need for protection that goes beyond a general desire forself-defense. http://firstread.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/04/15/17761368-supreme-court-passes-on-gun-rights-case?lite&ocid=msnhp&pos=4 Link to comment
Dogmeat Dad, SASS #48563L
I was disappointed about this but someone on another website pointed out that there is a good chance that they are waiting for a better case, possibly Wollard. Roberts I believe is from the 4th district as is Willard. It would be better for us to wait and win a clear decision on a definitive case than to lose on a marginal case. Just my $0.02, Dogmeat Dad Link to comment
