He fired his pistol. Three times. The bullets were intended to stop the car, said Jacques Cadgene, 72. Theformer auto mechanic aimed them directly into the engine block of aHonda Accord driven by Shaylin Kay Laumann, 36, according to accountsprovided Monday by investigators and Cadgene. “I'm an old man and when someone drives a car at me, I shot to disable the car,” Cadgene said. The car sputtered to a halt several blocks away, where police arrestedLaumann. The shots damaged the power steering, the alternator and theexhaust manifold. Bama Red
"Although Cadgene was within his rights to defend himself, Raasch said, he should not have put himself in danger by trying to stop the woman. Instead, he said, Cadgene should have remained safe and focused on observing details that would make him a good witness for detectives." I'd say he made a dad gum good witness - Look for a car with bullet holes in the hood! Sh' lucky he didn't decide to shoot her - the article said she was within 2-3' of him when he shot into her hood!
Wolfgang, SASS #53480
Seems to me the best way to disable a car would be to shoot thru the windshield at the driver . . . .
