Gold Canyon Kid #43974
Have lost my cheat sheet on the assembly of the parts that wrap around the magazine under the foream. The big spring, the brass pieces and compression piece. It goes together two different ways depending on whether you are shooting light versus heavy loads. Put it together wrong and it turns into a full auto shotgun which hurts like hell, a fact I have had happen, but that was almost 50 years ago. All I can find are general 12 g and 20 g Auto 5 instructions that do not touch on this assembly issue. Can anyone point me to a diagram(s) on the internet somewhere. slate mike sass#29204
Google "Browning Auto five manual." When the ring is nearest to the receiver the gun is set for light loads. And make sure the ring is right side up. I forget which way it is, but the manual makes it very clear. Good luck!
