Cool. My dad went to gunnery school in Yuma. I don't think Regan or Meredith were there though.

Imagine being in that plexiglass bubble in the Arizona sun!

Interesting "Zero" with a rear gunner. And the Liberator morphed into a Ventura at one point, and an early model B17.

Hard to tell, but I would take it for a Winchester 12.

That was my first thought... but nope.

I have a period Model 12 with a "U. S." and flaming bomb prominently stamped on the receiver.... and although it is indeed a Model 12, it has a Model 25-type magazine cap and barrel band arrangement.

But there's something distinctive about the mag cap and barrel band on this one that I just can't put my finger on (like an Ithaca)... and the flat-sided bolt....

Ithaca was a bottom feeder, wasn't it?

Yup.... and ejected from same hole.

Hmmm.... kinda like the legendary gila monster....

I got a buddy that moved to New Orleans and found him a job....not too hostile working conditions....he's the rear gunner on a Budweiser beer truck :D
