Charlie Whiskers Posted March 24, 2013 Share Posted March 24, 2013 I have a 60 army and a 72 open tops as well as 2 51 RM's.My 72 was shooting way high.Went to my gunsmith and he made me a taller brass front sight.I was able to file it down so it hits where I want it to now;plus it's a lot easier to pick up on a target.One problem if it's a 60 or 72 is the sights are silver soldered in.When you heat it up enough to melt the solder,it takes the bluing off of the barrel.I was lucky there since he was bluing a barrel for a rifle he was building so he re did my barrel.You might want to check around with local smiths in your area.
