Marlin Buckhorn,SASS 51727 Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 For Sale Century Marlin Limited This Marlin Century Limited 1894CLTD, chambered in 44-40 has an 24 tapered octagon barrel and full 12 shot magazine. The receiver, bolt and lever are engraved by Giovinelli of Italy and case harden by the traditionalbone and charcoal method. The straight grip stock is crafted from fancy black walnut and checkered in early Marlin pattern. The butt stock is fitted with a brass crescent butt plate. The original sleeve and carton come with the gun. They are not in pristine condition. This rifle is used. And is not to be confused for the unfired rifle I sold last month. I am selling this rifle for a freind and his wife who need the money for medical bills. There is some light marks, in the blue, on the barrel from sitting in the gun safe. Some light dents in the stock and one scratch on the top of the barrel that covered well. In todays market place these guns go from $1150 to $1450 in unfired condition. Of course a standard Marlin Cowboy in 44-40, with a 24" barrel can easily go for $1200+. This might not be a pristine collector rifle but there was only 2400 of this model made so they will always sought after. After all it is an original Marlin! Price is $1000.00 plus $40.00 shipping and insurance to your FFL. Pictures below. Thanks for looking, Marlin
