Subdeacon Joe
Silver says the leaders are considering the change because seven-bullet magazines aren't manufactured. The standard is 10-bulletmagazines. Silver calls it one of the "inconsistencies" in the law that need to be fixed. The "standard" is whatever the manufacture designed for the gun. The "inconsistency" that needs to be fixed is that it infringes on our civil rights. http://online.wsj.com/article/AP36cf63a169e74b188dd285dc97acd5f8.html Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver says leaders are discussing returningto a 10-bullet limit, which is standard in the industry that doesn'tmake seven-bullet magazines. Soon after, Cuomo said no such proposal was discussed in the closed-door meeting with Silver and other legislative leaders. Instead, Cuomo says changes are being considered to allow thepurchase of 10-bullet magazines. But the law would still prohibit morethan seven bullets in magazines except at shooting ranges and incompetitions. Now that right there - closed door meetings - need to be abolished. And how the hell does Cuomo expect to enforce people loading only 7 rounds? Link to comment
Guest Texas Jack Black
I do not think the Mag issue has anything to do with the proposal to amend the law. There are many guns with mags less than 10. The law was to restrictive and they blew it. Now they will give a LITTLE back. Link to comment
Irish Tom
Well, I suppose this could be the "silver lining" we always hear about. Link to comment
