Rye Miles #13621 Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 Badshot sent you an email, I'll take it!! Rye Talked to you today, I didn't see it was a 44spl. Again sorry about that. STILL LOOKING FOR A 44-40 COLT!!
Fairshake Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Rye, I wish you all the luck in the world in finding the Colt you want. I've always wanted a 2nd or 3rd Gen set of that very gun. The 44WCF is all that I shoot and that is with 100% filled to the top BP. I gave up many years back and purchased my USFA 44WCF revolvers with 3 digit SN and I love them alot but I still would like the Colts. Best of luck to a very good cowboy!!
Atascosa 12439 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Unfortunatly the 44-40 and the 44 special bring a higher price than a 45 Colt. I have 2, one a USFA Gunslinger that I would like to keep but should the time arise, I would sell the Colt. I believe the Gunslinger is a sweeter weapon.

I don't see the 44wcf or .44 spl. bringing more money. The .45 LC is the iconic round for that gun and there's not too many of us shooting' 44's. I think just the opposite a .45Colt is MUCH easier to sell! Just MHO Are you selling the Colt??? Rye

Rye Rye, good afternoon. I offered the Colt, last week, for $1500. You respectfully declined. I have since double checked prices on GunsAmerica and gunbroker and I find that my price, delivered, is actually a fair deal. I strongly recommend that you spend a little time tracking down the prices on these sites and others and you will see that even some 45's are going up. However, I won 't change my price. $1500 delivered, should you decide to accept. Good luck

Good luck I appreciate you offering me your Colt but I am looking for a little more of a used one than the one you have. I picked up a Colt .44-40 used with no box or papers for much less than $1500.00. They're out there I have to just keep looking. I have been tracking down prices for quite awhile and this isn't my first attempt at buying Colts, I've had them in the past. Sold a few too. I know what I'm doing but thanks for the ...uh..advice! You didn't have to remind me of that did you??? A beautiful pair of 4 3/4" nickeled Colts. BUT...remember the trouble I had, sent one back to Colt TWICE to fix the firing pin bushing and the other one had a base pin that kept slipping out. That's okay I love my Smoke Wagons! See ya April 3...first Wed. shoot!! Rye
