Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 UPDATE: Muley passed peacefully at about noon today. I went to the hospital this morning about 10:00 and he was unconscious, but looked to be pain free and comfortable. Sandi called Curly Cole while we were at GLB to let us know he was gone. He was a really good man and a really good friend and he well be greatly missed. If you wouldn't mind, the family still needs prayers to help them get through this. Thanks.

There are a bunch but most are over-crowded and struggling to get by. One outfit went by Tom's place after dark a while back and terrified the animals and he threw them off the property. So far there haven't been any other takers.

In my 25 years of horseshoeing, I have found that most horse rescues shouldn't be in bussines. Try horse/livestock Auctions, also try outfitters( hunting guides). If you can hold out till the end of May there is Mules days up in Bishop Ca

I'll ask Sandi the next time she calls in. Location is Phelan, California, up by Hesperia / Victorville area. Thanks for asking. UPDATE: 3 mules an one very old horse.

I wish I had better news. She isn't spending much time worrying about the animals at the moment, but I'll give you what I learn when I can.
